Colleen Brummer

CEO & Head Trainer

 

Colleen is the driving force and founder of ENERGY Essential Fitness. Growing up and attending university in the health driven city of Vancouver, Canada, she has constantly been inspired by both physical and mental wellness. After years of group fitness instruction and personal training, Colleen was inspired by the STOTT Pilates method and spent several years becoming immersed in the practice through education and teaching. Through over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, she has developed a unique perspective of fitness and opening ENERGY is 2003 provided her the opportunity to share her ideas with the Cayman Island community.

Colleen holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from Simon Fraser University and became a STOTT Pilates Certified Instructor in 2001. She is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Clinical Exercise Specialist, an ACE Certified Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, certified TRX® Suspension Training Instructor, certified Total Barre instructor as well as specialty certifications in pre/post natal fitness, working with special populations, yoga, nutrition, and postural assessment.  

Helena Reynolds

Pilates Instructor

 

Helena began practicing Pilates at the age of 15 while attending dance academy, and continued her training while completing her BFA in Contemporary Ballet at North Carolina School of the Arts. After graduation, Helena received her full STOTT Pilates certification and also became certified in pre and post natal, special populations and joint deterioration such as osteoporosis and arthritis. Helena’s love of athletic performance ultimately led her toward a career in aerial arts, a field in which the wear and tear on her joints and muscles all the more taught her the importance of body maintenance, rehabilitation and preventative care through Pilates. As a teacher, Helena enjoys both the thrill of pushing students to achieve physical goals and the satisfaction of helping people recover from injuries that effect their day to day lives.

Don Inose

Pilates Instructor

 

Don has been involved in the fitness industry since 2008 and started as a Personal Fitness trainer at Bally Total Fitness in New York. In 2010, his focus shifted to Pilates and he began teaching Pilates Matwork and Reformer classes at a wide variety of sports clubs and studios in the New York area. Don has completed his Comprehensive Pilates training with Balanced Body and is also certified as a TRX Suspension Training and TRX Rip Trainer Instructor - he joins the ENERGY team as yet another amazing private training and group fitness specialist.
